The studies carried out in the state archives prove that the Çanakkale Archeological Museum, which is thought to have been founded in 1932, was established in 1911 as the Çanakkale Museum Branch affiliated with the Museum-I Hümayun. This information-document exhibition, organized on the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the establishment of the Çanakkale Museum Branch, presents the Troy Museum's adventure of more than a century, the cultural policies of the Ottoman and the Republic, museology, archeology, and collection practices, as well as the developments in the tourism sector. The museum activities, which started with the Taş Mektep in the city center of Çanakkale in 1911, continued with the Armenian Church, Troy Ruins Museum Depot, Çanakkale Central Archeology Museum, reached its zenith at the Troy Museum and intertwined with the archaeological studies carried out in different ruins throughout the province.
