Trojan Women Exhibition

Benal DİKMEN's Trojan Women Exhibition will take place on March 8 - March 31, 2023, at the Exhibition Hall of the Museum of Troy, (opening) between 15.00-17.30, curated by Nergis ABIYEVA. Troy Museum

Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Faculty of Communication, Visual Communication Design Department Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Benal Dikmen's exhibition titled "Women from Troy", which will be organized as part of March 8 International Women's Day, will be opened on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the Troy Museum Exhibition Hall. The exhibition, which deals with the Trojan War through women's eyes, will be open to visitors between March 8 and March 31.

Assoc. Dr. Benal Dikmen's Trojan Women exhibition, specially prepared for 8 March International Women's Day, takes its source from the women's perspective of the Trojan War. The exhibition reveals the fate of women, Trojan women, whose cities were plundered during and after the war, and whose husbands, fathers, brothers, and sons were killed. Contrary to women's creative nature, the Trojan War's destructive power eliminates this creative power. From this perspective, Dikmen aims to bring Trojan women into contemporary art.
