The Museum of Troy in Çanakkale is hosting the exhibition Aeneas' Journey that addresses the contemporary phenomenon of migration through the Epic of Aeneas, shedding light on today's dynamics. This exhibition offers an in-depth exploration to visitors by tracing the footprints of migration from past to present through the unique works of five artists from different disciplines.
Turan Vardar's abstract paintings reflect the inner worlds of migrants and the external impacts on these worlds, while Ahmet Salih Tosuner's classical sculptures reinterpret historical perspectives with a modern eye. Ersen Emir's photographs focus on the stories behind the faces of migrants and the narratives of their identities. Türker Akman and Deniz Yılmaz Akman's structural paper installation depicts the struggles of migrants to overcome obstacles, making the audience a part of this scene.
