İstanbul Pera Museum

The Pera Museum, which opened its doors in early June 2005, is the first step of a comprehensive cultural initiative implemented by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation in order to provide culture and art services at this distinguished point in the city. For the Pera Museum, which assumed the function of a 'museum-cultural center' in this project, the historical building, which was built by architect Achille Manoussos in Istanbul's favorite district Tepebaşı in 1893, was completely overhauled by Architect  M. Sinan Genim, transformed into a modern equipped museum and put into service.

There are collections of Orientalist Paintings, Anatolian Weights and Measures, and Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics belonging to the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation. The values represented by these collections; It shares with the public through exhibitions, publishing products, events, film screenings, learning programs, and scientific studies. Pera Museum, which aims to transfer it to future generations, also hosts important names of world art with its temporary exhibitions.

Pera Museum such as Tate Britain, Victoria and Albert Museum, Louvre Museum, Rijks Museum, St. Petersburg Russian State Museum, JP Morgan Chase Collection,  New York School of Visual Arts, Oxford University, Cambridge University, Maeght Foundation, ”la Caixa” Foundation has produced joint art projects with the world's leading museums, collections, and foundations. The museum, with its periodic exhibitions, Jean Dubuffet, Rembrandt, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Niko Pirosmani, Joan Miró, Josef Koudelka, Marc Chagall, Akira Kurosawa, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Fernando Botero, Goya, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Cecil Beaton, Grayson Perry, Alberto Giacometti, Giorgio de Chirico, brought the works of important artists together with the art lovers of our country. Pera Museum, which has been organizing exhibitions supporting young artists every year since its opening, in cooperation with national and international education and art institutions, supports all its exhibitions with books, activities, and learning programs for different ages. Pera Film, which attracts attention with its periodic programs, organizes comprehensive screenings for visitors and cinema enthusiasts, ranging from classics to independent films, animation, and documentaries, sometimes parallel to exhibitions.

Pera Museum, which has become one of the most qualified, pioneering, and beloved museums of Türkiye with its activities since its establishment, serves as a comprehensive and contemporary museum-cultural center in this very lively area of the city.

Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation

Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation; was established by Suna Kıraç, İnan Kıraç, and İpek Kıraç on October 27, 2003, in order to raise useful and patriotic citizens in Turkish society, to provide material and moral opportunities to individuals and institutions, to contribute to social life and to carry out activities in the fields of education, culture, art, and health in this direction.

In order to achieve its goals in the field of education, the Foundation provides all kinds of assistance to talented students in need of assistance and educational and educational institutions, providing support by providing opportunities such as scholarships, education, and research.
