The Milet Museum Directorate is located within the Milet Ancient City, which is located near the village of Balat in Didim District of Aydın Province. The static structure of the Museum Building, which was opened in 1973, has deteriorated over time. This situation was closed to visitors due to the danger of life and property safety. After the closure of the Old Museum Building, work has been started on the construction of the new Museum Building, and the new museum building, which has a usage area of 1200 square meters, was opened to visitors in May 2011. Closed exhibition area is located in the administrative building of the museum. The finds of the Ancient City of Miletus, Priene Ancient City and the Temple of Apollo in Didim are exhibited in an area of approximately 600 m2. Belonging to the ancient city of Milet; There are animation of the Minoan Period (20-15 centuries BC) Kitchen, the Minoan Period finds, the Zeytintepe Archaic Aphrodite Sanctuary finds, and the Gacartepe Tomb finds. Findings of the Sacred Way from Miletus Ancient City to the Temple of Apollo in Didim and the votive objects of the Temple of Apollo are located in the exhibition hall. Milet Museum exhibition areas; It consists of two main parts: the garden display and the indoor display. In the garden display, lion sculptures, inscriptions, tomb steles, sarcophagi, architectural elements and column capitals, which are the symbol of the city of Miletus, are exhibited.
