With the cultural assets collected from Eskişehir province and districts, a warehouse museum was established in Eskişehir Alaeddin Mosque in 1945. In 1966, the Eskişehir Museum Directorate was officially established in the Kurşunlu Mosque and Complex in the Odunpazarı District, and its exhibition and arrangement were put into service. In 1974, it continued its work with the building built on Atatürk Boulevard in Akarbaşı District. A protocol was signed between our Ministry and Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. for the preparation of a new museum project in accordance with the contemporary museology understanding, under the sponsorship of Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., on February 28, 2007, as the existing museum building was insufficient in terms of storage and exhibition areas. On July 27, 2008, the old museum building was demolished and construction began. The museum, whose construction, display arrangement, and landscaping were completed under the sponsorship of Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., was opened to visitors on 28 May 2011. The Eskişehir Eti Archaeological Museum is considered to be the first museum in our country to be implemented by the private sector.

Eskişehir ETİ Archeology Museum has a collection of artifacts obtained through purchases, donations, and confiscations, as well as artifacts recovered as a result of excavations and surface research carried out mainly in ruins in Eskişehir.
