The building, which is used as the Bafra Museum today and is a significant example of 19th-century civil architecture, is a three-story, inner sofa type built in 1858. According to oral sources, this mansion, whose first owner was Dimitri Ağa, was used as a Community Center, Agricultural Credit Cooperative, and a residence during the Republican Period. In 2002, it was allocated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to be built as a museum and restored in 2011, it was opened to visitors as Bafra Archeology and Ethnography Museum.

Today, ethnographic artifacts are exhibited on the 1st floor of the building, and archaeological artifacts, some of which are the findings of the İkiztepe Excavation, are exhibited on the 2nd floor.
