Ankara July 15 Martyrs and Democracy Museum

   Our nation on July 15, 2016, gave a heroic struggle against the coup. This museum is designed to keep alive what happened on this struggle and after and also to transfer to future generations this great crisis that our country has overcome. The museum was opened to the visit by our Minister Mehmet Nuri ERSOY with a ceremony held on 16 July 2019 at Kahramankazan, District of Ankara Province, in the name of “Kahramankazan 15th of July Martyrs and Democracy Museum”.

Completed by our Ministry of construction, the complete museum has an area of 7635 square meters, a garden and indoor area of 3600 square meters for hosting special events, and on the floor floor there is a conference room for 340 people, temporary non-period exhibition halls, children's workshop, administrative offices and cafeteria section. ” In the "Museum of martyrs and democracy of July 15", there is an installation in a glazed section located at the entrance to the exhibition hall, reflecting the effects of what happened that night. The developing events in Turkey at the night of July 15 and after, is described minute by minute from the starting time in a timeline on the part of the exhibition wall. On the other part of Exhibition hall, what happened on the night of July 15 and after is explained with photographs in Turkey and the District of Kahramankazan. This photographic narration is realized with the help of sound effects and is designed to create the perception that it is coming out of the wall like the curve of a river. In the museum, the biography of the citizens and their live interviews who were veterans in Kahramankazan District on the night of July 15 are described together with the kiosks and photographs taken on that night. On the digital screen located at the focal point of the museum exhibition hall, our President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN's experiences on the night of July 15th are explained and a facetime speech is given. Photographs and special items belonging to nine martyrs of Kahramankazan District are included in the display units. There are three-minute films about each of the nine martyrs on the screen on the wall. Visitors can access archive information about July 15 through the screens on the kiosks. Likewise, in a hall in the museum can be seen photos of all our martyrs killed in the July 15 incident in Turkey. Visitors completing their visit to the museum can watch a short film about the giant project of New Turkey at the exit corridor on the new screen videowall.
